Trust Completely (Psalm 131:1-3)

We just finished our series on Complete and I hope you now have a better picture of what sin and salvation meant.  And in the coming weeks we will have opportunities to talk in more details about what it means for you specifically to prepare you for the encounter retreat in November.  If you are willing to believe that salvation is so much more than you think, you will definitely experience the power of salvation in your daily lives.  I have met so many people that I thought if they only understood what salvation meant, their lives would be so much better, and I am sure you have thought the same way too.  So let us start from ourselves first, if we can be transformed by Jesus, then we can testify to our friends and family that they can too.

Today we have our very own special speaker with us – Kevin Hung.  Many of you know that Kevin joined this church since the very beginning and four years ago he went back to Taiwan to study in seminary.  Kevin is a living proof of what it means to follow God’s will.  I am not saying that all of us have to become full time pastors, what I am trying to say is if you are willing to follow God’s will for your life, anything is possible, and I am sure Kevin will tell you that himself today.  Would you please give him a very warm welcome, and be encouraged that you too can live out God’s will for your life.

1. Have you ever met a prideful person?  How does it feel to interact with this person?

2. Read Psalm 131:1-3.  How have you dealt with your personal pride?  What does it mean to not concern yourself with great matters?

3. Read Psalm 131:2.  What does it mean to be like a weaned child?  How would you describe your relationship with God right now?
