Welcome to CROLCC, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. We have been on the 40 Day Fast and Pray together and thank you again for participating in seeking God together. We are more than half way through! If you want to participate and haven’t, good news, there is still time! Just pick a meal a day or any meals from now till June 12th to fast and to pray. We are praying for the encounter retreat at the end of June, to prepare our hearts for change and also for things that are going on in the world today. Most personally perhaps, is that you can use this time to pray for yourself, ask God what He wants to show you especially during this time. He loves to speak to you.
Anytime I am on a fast God always directs my attention to an area of my life. I don’t know why that is and I don’t know if that ever happens to you. Have you ever felt that God might want to see change in an area of your life? The great thing is He does it so gently that He allows me to make that decision on my own, and that makes me want to cooperate with Him. But when I think about the things I have to do to change, I often doubt if I ever will change. Do you ever feel that? There is good news, as I am reminded over the years, I don’t have to do anything big or make big changes, it’s often the small things that I do consistently over time that will bring the change in my life.
Moving Forward
If we are honest there is always something we want to see change in our lives. It could be as small as losing a couple of pounds or as big as having a better marriage. Often the task of making the change seems daunting. But remember, it’s doing the small things that will result in the big difference you so desired.
Discussion Questions
1. In Galatians 6:7 Paul talks about the principle of Reaping and Sowing. How have you seen this principle applied in your life?
2. How disciplined are you at doing the small things in your life? What might be keeping you from being as disciplined as you should be?
3. When we are faithful in the small things, God trusts us in the big things. How have you seen the truth of this statement in your life?
4. What’s one thing you would like to change about yourself or accomplish in the near future? What small thing could you start doing today to lead to that change? What can this group do to support you?
