Last week we started the New Year with the message “This One Thing” and we talked about the onething you must do this year. Have you taken the time to figure out what that one thing is in your small group? Even if you are not part of a small group I hope you have taken sometime to figure that out for yourself. The truth is, there are things we want to do and there are things we will do, but there is onething that we must do this year. What is that one thing for you? Is it a habit that you need to break? Is it a relationship you must restore? Is it a debt that you need to retire? I hope that by the end of this year you will say to yourself, I did a great work and I did not come down! No matter the distractions, stay on that wall till you finish that task. Will you be willing to do that?
For the next 2 weeks I want to show you messages from pastor Erwin McManus from last year’s Glocal Impact Conference (全地轉化特會). I believe these 2 messages will be important for both our personal lives as well as our corporate life together as a church. Today pastor Erwin will speak specifically about living out your personal greatness. Didyou know you were created to be great? I hope when you listen you listen with anticipation that God is about to unleash something great in your life this year.
Moving Forward
Do you believe that you are no ordinary child and that you were made unique in God’s image? Startbelieving and start living that unique life that God has planned for you today.
Discussion Questions
1. What did you dream of becoming growing up? Did you achieve your dream? If not, at what point did you realize your dream wasn’t about to become a reality?
2. Read Acts 7:20-22. Why do you think Stephen deem Moses as no ordinary child?
3. Pastor Erwin says that we are born extraordinary but most of us die of ordinary life. Do you believe you are no ordinary child? Why or why not?
4. Read Acts 2:17. Are there dreams or visions that God has given you that you would like to accomplish?
5. How would you need to adjust your life to accomplish the dream or vision that God has given you?
