Let There Be Light

Welcome to CROLCC, so glad you are here worshiping with us! Christmas is full of light. People put up strands of light on Christmas trees and on houses. We light candles on the mantle. There used to be a cul-de-sac near where we live that was famous for its display of Christmas lights. It would be advertise on the local newspaper and the marching band would come play. Even Santa would show up to take pictures with anyone who wishes to do so. Every year we would take our kids and our friends to see it, and although it was pretty much the same every year, we never ceased to be amazed at the colorful and wonderful display of lights.

Light is an integral part of our Christmas experience, and light is an essential part of our Christmas celebration.  For at Christmas we celebrate God shining a light of hope into the darkness of our lives.  We may never realize that we live in darkness until God shines His light on us.  Although painful at first, we eventually come to grip that God’s light gives us life, life that God intended for us to live.  And in a world that is stumbling in darkness, we celebrate the offer of light to all who would receive it.
