Welcome to CROLCC, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. Two thousand years ago an itinerant Jewish teacher made an audacious claim that he would begin a worldwide movement whose growth would be unchecked throughout the span of history. Many probably didn’t think much of it or thought he was crazy. Then it got worse. After he left the earth persecutions of his followers began and many began to doubt how this movement will ever get on a roll let alone survive. Then a person named Saul was miraculously converted and was later renamed Paul. He began to spread the news of Jesus’ resurrection along the Mediterranean realm. Little pockets of gatherings began to form and the rest was history.
Our church is an extension of that prophecy fulfilled. Back in fall of 2001 a faithful follower of Christ named Joseph Huang came to Sacramento with his family to start a church here. He was like Paul, gathering people in his home and this church began to take shape. Many have come to known Christ since then through this church. Today, I want to retell that story a little bit, talk about what God has done through this church and where we are heading. God has invited you to participate in his plan of building His Church through CROLCC, and I hope you will continue to invest in this church and invest in the people that come through this church.
Moving Forward
Think about someone you know who has yet to connect with a local church. This person could be someone in your family, someone at work or one of your neighbors. What difference could God make in this person’s life if he or she were to connect with CROLCC or a local church like CROLCC? What part could you play in this?
