Welcome to CROLCC, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. Last week we heard quite a challenging message about Jesus’ invitation for us to follow him. Being a Christian really isn’t about knowing the do’s and the don’ts about the Bible, but it’s about following Jesus to the best of our ability. God has given each of us a unique story, and your job and my job is to use that unique story to invite people around us to follow him. Also next week we are starting a new series on just that – following Jesus. We will talk about what it means to follow, and what you might experience as you continue to follow Jesus.
Today we are going to have a lot of fun as we celebrate Chinese New Year together. One Chinese character you will often see during Chinese New Year is the character “blessing.” It is in the Chinese culture to wish upon blessing for the coming year for ourselves and for each other. Some people would even place the character upside down to symbolize that the blessing has indeed already arrived. Christians love to bless one another too, as we often use the phrase “may God bless you,” or “God bless you.” Did you know that blessings ultimately come from God? You will be amazed that the Chinese character even indicates that.
Moving Forward
How can I be a blessing to those around us as I continue to receive blessings from above?
