Bible – Understanding the Purpose of God

Welcome to CROLCC, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. Hey, ever picked up a Bible to read from cover to cover? It’s hard isn’t it? It’s not like reading your favorite novel or non-fiction. It’s long and it’s confusing. For most of us Christians if we are honest, some parts are interesting that makes us want to read them over and over again. Other parts of the Bible, we sure want to ask God why He put them in there for us to read. I mean, do we really have to count all the family members and know their names? Aren’t you glad that I think that way too?

As Christians we know we should read our Bible, but I bet a lot of us don’t read it regularly. Why? I will let you answer that one on your own. My hope every Sunday is to make the Bible interesting and inspire you to read. Because I think it’s important that you read it. So today, I am going to do my best to give you an overview of the Bible. For some of you this is new while for others of you this is simply review. At the end of the day, I hope you not only understand God’s story, but you will find yourself in the story of God. Because God wrote His story with you and I in mind – the story of redemption.

Moving Forward

We all want to know God’s will and specifically God’s will for us as individuals. But we often wonder if we are walking in God’s will. One sure way to know – read your Bible and God will reveal His purpose to you.

Changing Your Mind

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14
