1. There Were God’s Will and Goals in John’s Birth
Luke 1:11~17‘
The Bible scriptures above demonstrated the characteristics of John the Baptist:
Bringing joy to parents and many others;
Being great in the sight of the Lord;
Being filled with the holy spirit;
Turning many people to the Lord;
Making ready a people prepared for the Lord as Elijah.

2. John was Clearly Aware of His Role and Mission

Preaching the baptism of repentance: The prophet of making ready the way of the Lord: Far lower than the Christ :
Reveal what Christ is to Israelites: Saw the sign from God and knew that Jesus is the son of God:

Actions didn’t match the speaking: He did not bring all his followers to Jesus Because Jesus did not behave exactly as he expected, he started to doubt his pervious judgement:

Jesus did not deny John in front of people: Luke 7:23- : Jesus gave recognition of the role of John in the Kingdom of God: Jesus won’t force John to act according to his role: Jesus won’t compete with John:
 When our thoughts are not exactly the same with Jesus, he will step to the side: Jesus could not behave according to John’s incorrect opinion (Jesus did not save John the Baptist)
