The importance of the “buoyancy” from within
The story of the black balloon and black kid
‘Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.’ (2nd Cor 5:17)
New: of uncertain affinity, unused ; creature: ordinance; pass away: pass, of persons moving forward; certain: some, any man, anything, a, certain man, something, certain thing
A. Life transformation revealed on the life stage of a new man (Luke 8:1-3)
cured τεθεραπευμέναι:to serve, to heal, cure, restore to health.
support διακονέω. v. to be a servant, attendant, domestic, to serve, wait upon
finance ὑπάρχοντα. V be, have, live
1. Their life was restored after experiencing God’s ministry: under satan’s control and filled with disease. Through Jesus’ ministry, they were healed, so their life, body, thoughts, emotions, work, lifestyle was restored
2. They were like the 12 who served with Jesus: “There were 12 with him, and some were women”
3. They are those who support and serve with Jesus
Luke and Mark both chronicled the existence of this group of women(Mark 15:40~41)
B. Everyone needs the hand of life from Jesus
Life comes from the hands of Jesus, and there the art of life is found
If there are areas not touched but Jesus, then those areas are filled with brokenness
Think back on this Bible character who revered God:
1. the failure of Samuel as a father. (1 Samuel 18:1-5)
2.The principle of Jehosephat losing piety in his relationship with others:
He’s a God fearing king, but he had defects in his character, and he had some “moments and acts of idiocy” and resulted in the fall of his family, legacy, and country. 2 Chronicles 17:12-18
3.King David sinned in his emotions and pride of succeed: he seek after God, but also sinned and killed Uriah while committing adultery with is wife; also forced his subjects to do census and angering God
4. Peter: (Luke 2:11-14)
C. The only way out, the redemption of Jesus
1. From the revealing chapters in the Bible, many characters’ defects were exposed and this help us learn what truth? Every part of our life must experience the redemption of Jesus
2. Understanding the truth:
‘For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good. For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice.’ (Colosians 7:18-19)
3. Paul revealed the secret in this revelation
‘What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, the sin‘s law.’ (Roman 7:24-25)
