Accessible

Welcome to CROLCC, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. How have your summer been? Doesn’t it feel like it went by faster than you thought? For those of us that have kids you are probably glad that your kids are back in school and things can finally get back to normal. For those of us that don’t, well, everyday feels like summer, doesn’t it? It’s interesting that Fall often feels more like a beginning of a year to many of us. Maybe we have been in school too long and we got used to the academic calendar. Maybe because we have kids in school that makes us feel like a beginning of a year.

Therefore, I would like to encourage you to join a small group beginning this fall. I know we are not a perfect church and we do not have perfect small group environments for everyone. But I still want to encourage you to join one even though you can’t seem to find a perfect one. How many imperfect social environments have we been into? Probably many. Maybe you can even tell a story that it started imperfect, but later it just felt “perfect.” The best way for you and I to grow is to put ourselves in a relational environment. Because you are created for community.

Moving Forward

Circles are better than rows. Spiritual growth happens by being in community with people who can have access to your life. Don’t be isolated, be in a group today.

Discussion Questions

1. Growing up was it easy for you to make friends? Or would you rather be by yourself doing the things you most enjoy doing?

2. Why is it that we tend to drift toward isolation, wanting independence and autonomy?

3. Is it easy for you to commit yourself to a small group? Why or why not?

4. What have you found helpful by being in a small group?

5. How would you encourage someone who’s not part of a small group to be in one?
