Kingdom Culture (1) – Culture of Honor

Welcome to CROLCC, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. Last week we finished our series Tough As Nails and I hope that no matter what’s going on in our country or in this world, you will be encouraged to remain confident and hopeful in Jesus who has risen from the dead. I would also like to encourage you to continue to pray for our nation and for our world. Pray bold prayers, pray that Jesus can be the front and center of every person. Pray that you can testify his goodness boldly. Pray for opportunity to do so.

Today we are starting a 3 week video series called Kingdom Culture. No doubt you and I are born within a culture and are accustomed to a certain culture.  But did you know that the day you decided to become a Christian you are called to live in a kingdom culture? How are we supposed to represent Him so that people can see our Heavenly Father through us? I hope you will learn to do that as we engage in what it means to practice living out the principles of a kingdom culture.

Moving Forward

Honor is nothing less than two powerful people in a relationship working together to meet the needs of each other and the situation. Who has God reminded you that you need to honor starting today?

Changing Your Mind

In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it—one from the house of David—one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.
Isaiah 16:5

Discussion Questions

1. When you hear the word honor, what do you think of? What do you think it means to honor one another, or to give honor to another person?

2. In the message you heard “to honor those in authority is easy, because they can punish you. But we are called to honor those that cannot overpower us or punish us.” Why do you think it’s so hard to do so?

3. Why do you think creating a culture of honor is essential in hosting the supernatural of God’s activities?

4. Give an example in your life where you have honored another person, how did you feel? How did that person in which you honored felt?

5. Our assignment as Christians is to display the character of our Heavenly Father. What can you do this week to do that? How can this group support you?
