Blessed Role Model (Paul Huang), Gen 12:1-4

Last week we heard a great message about raising God’s daughters from pastor Christa Proctor. If you missed it I want to encourage you to go to our website and listen to it. One of my biggest takeaways from the message is “always remember they are not our daughters, they are God’s daughters. I think if we always parent with that in mind we will be able to cultivate God’s plan in them. So often we want to parent our children the way we want them to be, or to place our unfulfilled dreams as a burden in their lives. Not only is that not fair to them, it’s not even biblical. Our jobs as parents are to teach them to love God and to love others. Trust God that when we do that, the things (education, jobs, etc.) that we normally worry about will surely be added onto them as well.

Today we have another special guest speaker with us – pastor Paul Huang from River of Life Christian Church. He will be sharing with us about raising sons. I have known pastor Huang for some time now and I so admired the clarity in his teaching and his authenticity. Every time when I hear him speak, I see humility and integrity and I can’t stop writing notes. In other words, I would trust him with my children. Please give him a very warm welcome and remember to take lots of notes and apply them!
