Living Beyond our Walls (Eph 2:11-18)

We are so glad you are here to worship with us today.  Last week we concluded our series on Life Apps and I want to thank all of you for your dedication in applying this principle – Application is Everything. Let’s continue to pray that we will be a church that will never be satisfied by simply hearing the Word, but be doers of the Word.  If you have missed any of the Life Apps I want to encourage you to go back online to listen to them.  And I pray that as you are serious about transforming your own lives, God will honor that and begin to transform those lives around you that you care so deeply about.

This past week I was listening to a podcast in which the speakers talked about engaging our culture with our faith.  So often we as Christians want to protect what we stand for by staying away from culture.  But you and I know that’s not going to work.  In fact, that wasn’t even Jesus’ idea to begin with.  Jesus wants us to engage and transform our cultures with His kingdom culture.  We are not only called to be saved by grace individually, but we are called to bring God’s values to impact our culture.  Today our very special guest speaker pastor Joy will speak specifically on this very topic, how are we supposed to live beyond our walls?  Please give her a very warm welcome!

Moving Forward

Is there anything in your life or that you see in our life as a church which needs reconciliation?

Discussion Questions

1. Are there any walls that are keeping us from authentic relationships with each other and with those who do not yet know Christ?

2. Is there such a thing as healthy distinctives among churches? How do we keep our distinctives from becoming unhealthy divisions of the one Body?

3. In what ways does our church bring hope of Christ to people around the world?

4. How can our church do more to bring hope in Christ?
