Happy Easter everyone! As I think about today I recalled our series on Big Church (hope you have not
forgotten it already), that our faith is not built on any circumstances but on one historical event. The
foundation of our faith as Christians is on the fact that Jesus Christ came 2000 years ago and died on
the cross for our sins, and he rose from the dead 3 days later. That’s it, that’s the basis of our faith, and
all you and I have to do is to accept the fact that we are sinners in need of a savior. As we confess our
sins and accept the fact that Jesus died for our sins, we can have a renew relationship with our Heavenly Father. When we really make Jesus our Lord and not only our Savior, I believe our lives will continue to
transform and be more like Him.
Here at this church we have a tradition that on every Easter Sunday we have a baptism. Every one of us
has a unique story about how Jesus Christ personally transformed our lives. Today as you listen to their
stories I am going to ask you to do two things. One, celebrate with them. Rejoice in the fact that many
again have found God and gave their lives to Jesus. Two, pray for those that you know that do not have
a relationship with Jesus, and that the Holy Spirit will touch them as you pray that they too will one day
give their lives to Jesus like those that are giving their testimonies today. Jesus is alive today!
