The Sincere Worship

Verses:Jn4:23-24
1.What is the meaning of “worship”?
A.The Webster Dictionary definition: Through respect, repentance, prayer, thanksgiving, give God His glory, praise, and faithfulness.
• The equivalent words: “Praise, elevate, respect, admiration, focus, devotion, acclaim, exaltation…etc.”
B.What is the meaning of “worship” in Bible?
• Original word “Shachah” translates to “worship”-used 61 times, “bow down”- 45 times, “bowing down”-25 times， kneel-15 times
• Prostrate-9 times, worship -9
• The word is used to describe this person, someone who is in high position or someone deserving of devotion, even if that person is someone you don’t know. This word is used not solely on God alone, but sums up the action of being in worship.
• Cornwall”Let Us Worship” Worship is the love flowing between God and Man, and it includes action and emotion. true worship also includes man being drawn in by God’s love and they give praise and devotion out of their hearts.
C.Jesus teaches the Samaritan woman the concept of worship
• Man must use “spirit” (the original word did not include heart” ) Use “truth” to worship the father.
• Worship in truth means: Worship within the biblical context of truth, and the revelations we see from reading from the truth.
• So whatever the biblical truth indicates, then we should worship accordingly to that
• The definition of Worship God in spirit: We should use our indicative of breath and life 、feeling、 perseverance to worship God ,to give all the glory to him.
2.Another original Greek word for worship is avad: Meaning includes ministry, serving, working, worshipping, so worship also includes being in ministry. In the broader meaning, it also includes serving and living everyday
