Christ is Risen!

Welcome to CROLCC, and happy Easter, we are so glad you are here worshiping with us. No matter how long you have been a Christian, I hope Easter never gets old for you. I know some of us have heard the same old story since children Sunday School, that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead three days later. But like I told the kids last Sunday, the most important thing about being a Christian isn’t knowing in theory that Jesus is our Savior, but to transfer that knowledge into our hearts and live a life that reflects the risen Christ.

How do we do that you may ask? Perhaps the best way is to examine our actions and our attitudes when life doesn’t go our way. Do you have your head down when you face challenges in life? Or do you remain faithful that God is in control no matter what happens? I know it’s easier said than done, but if our lives don’t reflect the fact that we have a risen Christ, how else do we convince people around us to believe in a savior that lived 2000 years ago?

Every Easter Sunday we hold a baptism. Baptism is a public declaration of a person’s association with Jesus. Therefore we asked the person getting baptized to always give a public and personal testimony. Please cheer them on as they declare publically that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of their lives.
