Jesus is Alive

It’s hard for me not to think about the building project these days.  There are decisions to be made every day.  But every time when I am presented with a building challenge I am also grateful for the opportunity; grateful that God trusts us enough to let us build it.  You probably don’t know that we almost didn’t have the opportunity.  There was a time that the owner of the building almost didn’t want to sell the building to us.  But we persevered, and God somehow resurrected the project and off we went.  We then thought we were going to be done by now, but we kept being delayed because of the complexity of the building permit.  Yet God was still in control, including the best timing to finish this project for our move in July

The whole building process made me think about Easter.  When Jesus died on the cross everyone thought what once seemed like a great promise was now over.  Yet God had other plans, He can turn around even the worst situation seemed to men.  2000 years ago when Jesus died on the cross he died to pay the price of our sins.  But he rose from the dead 3 days later.  He claimed victory over death and over sin, so whoever trusts in Him will have that victory as well.  That’s the Easter story, that’s our story, that’s the story that serves as the foundation of our faith

So today if you are going through circumstances that seem difficult to you, that it seems like there is no hope, remember that there is always hope in Jesus.  God can turn around your situation just like he turned around our building project, because He already accomplished the biggest one – the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
